Super Mario Bros. The Later Years by svedamani
Super Mario Bros. The Later Years
Passing time on the skytrain by doodling on SMemo for on my Android. Man alive, drawing with your fingers is harder than I thought... People on transit kept lookin' at me cause I kept cursing under my breath every time I frakked up a line. Oh well. Presenting.... my chicken scratches which somehow turned into "Super Mario Bros the Later Years"
Imagine Princess Peach gets kidnapped (again) by Bowser and Mario uses a scrap of her dress to mend his overalls before he makes his way to find and fight Bowser's Minions to rescue his gal. Then there's Luigi's character design which I just did cause I wanted to pass the time... Time well wasted.
Hicks' Christmas by svedamani
Hicks' Christmas
I created this cartoon family portrait for the front of two cards sent to boyfriends mother and grandmother. I wanted to thank them personally for staying by my side when I was sick in the hospital and to also thank his entire family for making my stay in Virginia over the Christmas holiday so incredibly wonderful. I cannot wait to see them again! Love them to absolute pieces.
Felina by svedamani
Sundays feel so empty without Breaking Bad. I usually avoid doing caricatures as I sort of suck at them but I found a sketch of Walter White I was doing while watching the finale and decided to complete it a few weeks after.
Meme: Draw This Again by svedamani
Meme: Draw This Again
Stumbled upon the "Draw This Again" meme here on DeviantArt. The instructions say to "take an old loved art piece and redraw it" but instead I decided to redo a drawing I had done when I was 8 years old because... why not, right? Our family used to watch hockey all the time when I was growing up. Honestly, I've never really been into it -- Guess that makes me a bad Canadian lol.

Calling all Deviant artists!

The team for Power Up: Child's Play Compilation Album, which raises funds for the Child's Play charity, is holding an art contest! Take the characters from the album cover art… and design a banner for their Facebook page with a gaming twist and your own style! The winner's design will be placed as their banner for 2 weeks and receive 2 free album downloads! Due Dec. 9th. Hope to see you take part in this challenge :) We'd love to showcase your skills!

Due Date: 9th of December 2012, 11:59PM PST

Task: Draw the two characters of our Power Up album… in your style and in a video game inspired setting.

Rules: Keep it PG-13. Nothing too violent, sexual or vulgar. Photoshop template must be used and both the characters and Power Up text must be visible. Submissions must be in JPG format.

Submission: Upload your art online and send us a Facebook inbox message with the following - a link to your submission image, your name (real and/or screen), a link to your website (optional) and a short description of your piece.

The Characters: See Power Up: Music to Game By album cover  or the Power Up Facebook display picture

Medium: Traditional, Digital, photo manipulation, vector, watercolor, anything that is considered 'art' is fine as long as the Photoshop template is used.

Still Confused?: Maybe parody our characters with some existing videogames or one you make up? Put them in an RPG game? First person shooter? Game cover? Nintendo version Powerup vs Capcom version? PowerUpcraft? Super Power Up Brothers? Power Up fighting Dr Eggman? possibilities are endless.

PRIZES: Your work showcased and promoted by our team on various networks, your artwork as our Power Up Facebook page banner for two weeks and two free digital downloads of the Power Up: Music to Game By album.

Hey, I wanted to thank you for the kind words and the watch! That made me feel all sorts of fuzzy. Keith told me that you're an animator. . . how's the business going? You've got a nice resume, by the looks of things.

It was my pleasure!
I've just been a freelance animator, storyboard artist and producer since graduating and it has been going pretty good so far. However, I plan on applying for studio jobs in a couple months for the experience. lol I actually think my site and resume are in shambles right now and are in need of some serious updating lol.
Of your DA work, I think Prism is my favourite, but Incongruent Conversation is not far behind. Are you self taught or were you an art student as well? :)
